  • Your order receipt will show pickup time and location in Acton, MA. Please pull up to the Huckleberry Bakes sign along the road and stay in your car. Give us a call to let us know you are here and we’ll bring your order out to you!

  • Generally speaking there are two ways to cut cakes - Event Style and Party Style.

    Event Style tends to be more conservative on slice size, thus serving more guests. These are generally 1”x2” slices of a 3 layer cake.

    For my standard cake sizes please refer to the servings below:

    • 6” Regular- 3 layer cake will serve 12 people

    • 8” Regular- 3 layer cake will serve 16 people (Party Style) or 26 people (Event Style)

    • 10” Regular- 3 layer cake will serve 50 people

    • Standard 1/2 Sheet Cakes will serve 50 people

    And remember, leftovers freeze beautifully :)

  • We are Allery Awareness Certified. We take all allergies and sensitivities very seriously. All of our cakes, cupcakes and dessert accompaniments are made with all gluten free ingredients. Huckleberry Bakes work out of a dedicated baking kitchen that uses strickly gluten free ingredients, and is separate from our families use. We do not operate out of a certified gluten free kitchen. We do our best to avoid cross-contamination within the home, never used shared equipment, and follow all reasonable preventative measures against cross-contamination, however can not be held responsible for any reactions that occur due to potential cross-contamination.

    Dairy free and egg free alternatives are available in vanilla and chocolate cakes and specialty flavors with consultation.

    Recipes including nuts or nut extracts will be explicitly noted.

  • Custom and specialty cake orders must be placed 2 weeks in advance from the completion date and require a $30 deposit before consultation.

    Classic cake options can be ordered up to 7 days in advance of completion date.

    Every now and then our weekly baking schedule allows for last minute orders. If you are in a time crunch, please email us here to share your request. There is a 20% rush fee for rush orders confirmed within 7 days on the completion date.

  • All cakes can be picked up in Acton, MA on your scheduled completion date between 4-5pm for no additional charge.

    Delivery is available for an additional fee. Please indicate at checkout if you would like a quote. Delivery fee will be billed separately.

    Delivery quoted per order based on roundtrip distance and typical travel time as well as the time of day the delivery will be.

    For large orders, including events such as weddings, it is our recommendation to opt for delivery. Driving with cakes can be a bit of an art - if any touchups are needed we will provide this on site at delivery. However, if you choose to pickup, once cakes have left the bakery, you are responsible to their safe arrival.

  • Most likely, yes! It’s always my preference to put a unique twist to popular cakes. I encourage you to schedule a consultation and I’m confident we can come up with a special style that fits your design.

  • Depending on the cakes design, sometimes you may want to add a topper! We now offer custom cake toppers for order from our online shop!

    If you already have a topper picked out, with adequate ordering lead times I can order and procure the for your cake for an additional cost.

  • Custom orders can be canceled up to 2 weeks prior to the completion date for a deposit refund with the exception of $100 for potential loss of business for holding your date and the cost of any specialty ingredients, toppers or decorations already procured for your cake.
