Booking Contract

Terms of Agreement

By submitting a payment for your bakes you agree and understand the following Huckleberry Bakes policies, terms and conditions.

  • During the consultation process the client will provide any inspiration images, pinterest boards or links to styles they are interested in. Huckleberry Bakes will interpret and execute the agreed upon cake or cookie design with the clients understanding that slight variations may be present in the final design. If needed, creative changes may occur to account for stability or structural integrity of the cake.

All alternations to design/flavor must be made 14 days prior to the event and are subject to adjusted pricing.

  • All classic cake and cupcakes must be booked and paid for in full via our online store to confirm your order in our schedule.

For custom designed orders of cakes, cupcakes and cookies, payments are requested and paid via a Custom Order link sent from Huckleberry Bakes trough email. Event orders over $400 require a deposit of 50% of the total quoted price to be paid in order to book and hold your date. The remaining payment must be paid a minimum of 30 days prior to your event date.

  • All customer initiated cancellation requests must be submitted via email and done so more than 14 days prior to the event. The deposit or original payment will be refunded, less $100 for potential profit loss for holding the date and planning, plus any expenses relating to specialty ingredients or materials already purchased for the order.

If an event is postponed, we will do our best to accommodate the change of date, but can not guarantee availability.

In the extremely rare event of emergency or illness, Huckleberry Bakes reserve the right to cancel for a full refund.

  • All items are intended to be picked up at our Acton, MA location unless a delivery is expressed in your invoice.

We package our cakes to ensure safe travel and freshness. Once cakes are picked up, Huckleberry Bakes can not be held responsible for damage. Please refer to our Cake Care Guide for instructions on how to keep your cake safe!

The client is responsible for carefully selecting a location for the cake to be setup. For deliveries, once the cake has been placed, it is not intended to be moved. The cake location should be on a level surface, out of direct sunlight, away from heat sources and out of the way of heavy traffic flow.

  • We operate in a dedicated gluten free home kitchen with dedicated equipment. Although we make all gluten free recipes and can generally accommodate other allergies, all products are produced in a home where allergens are present from time to time. Huckleberry Bakes will make every effort to contain allergens, but cannot be held responsible for any medical conditions that arise due to potential cross contamination.

  • We aim for 100% satisfaction, but we can’t help solve an issue if we aren’t aware of it. Upon pick-up or delivery please inform us immediately via phone of any concerns with your order. Cakes and/or cookies of concern must be returned within the completion day to be evaluated and, if concern is valid, to implement a solution. For valid concerns that can’t be rectified, the customer will be refunded in full. For damage or concerns beyond Huckleberry Bakes responsibility, we will do our best, as schedule allows, to work towards a solution. Please note, there may be additional charges for these fixes.
